Once in a while it’s good to step back from it all, take a deep breath, and find some space to relax. You won’t find many places better for this than Tried and True in Putney.
Quietly positioned on Upper Richmond Road, a busy stretch connecting the hustle and bustle of Putney with the south west suburbia that is Richmond, Tried and True have been serving the locals since 2012. Taking inspiration from the neighbourhood cafes near Mt Eden in Auckland, the emphasis here is on the best quality food and coffee in a relaxed setting.
A list of food suppliers reads like the Who’s Who of quality produce – Northiam Dairy, Seven Seeded Bakery, Brindisa and Camden Town Brewery among others. We’re delighted that our seasonal espresso blend Red Brick is prepared so lovingly on a “Tried and True” blue La Marzocco FB80.
While their BBQ Pulled Pork Benedict is an award winning combination, the weekly special caught my eye – brisket hash with poached eggs served in a skillet, a killer combination. A word to the wise: remember to wear your stretchy trousers this weekend while walking the dog, you’ll thank me later.
Child, dog and bike friendly, Tried and True has something here for everyone. Grab a seat in the garden on a nice sunny day, kick back with the papers and a cappuccino and enjoy the downtime, you deserve it.
