With more requests than ever for educational and online coffee experiences, we’re happy to announce the launch of Square Mile Virtual Events. A great experience for seasoned coffee drinkers and an appetising introduction for those not so familiar with speciality coffee, Square Mile Virtual Events is perfect for team building and an engaging way to bring colleagues and friends together.
Hosted by Sara Larsson, an SCA accredited professional, the events are designed to lead you through the tree-to- cup journey of coffee, discussing taste, origin, and coffee culture. With the options of tasting and brewing, you can also request a bespoke event, like combining a chocolate and coffee tasting or exploring different brewing techniques.
As part of the workshop, all recipients will receive event-specific kits, which includes the necessary equipment for your chosen topic and enough freshly roasted coffee to taste and brew and enjoy afterwards.
WHAT WE OFFER:
COFFEE TASTING
In this event, we organise a coffee tasting session, known as cupping. Quick and easy to set up, you’ll learn more about how professionals evaluate coffee. We love that this is a fun and engaging way to learn about the flavour profile of coffee no matter your experience. Following the farm-to-cup journey of coffee, we taste and compare five seasonal coffees from various origins, and explore processing methods and roast levels.
POUR-OVER BREWING
For the pour-over brewing event, we introduce participants to one of the most popular pour-over coffee brewers, the Hario V60. A great way to make coffee at home, brewing together we’ll practice the ideal technique to achieve a delicious cup, every time. Tasting our freshly brewed coffee, we also discuss and identify flavours and learn more about what makes each cup of coffee taste the way it does. Participants will also learn key aspects to better brewing and making fantastic coffee at home.
